Kizer Cutlery collaborated with Ray Laconico and scored big time with the Gemini flipper. It's based on Ray's custom Jasmine folder and maintains its sleek character.

Apparently Kizer can't sharpen knives
Chris K.
This is a very nice, well made knife. I love the finish, the design, and the action. However, the S35VN blade as received could not even cut paper. I've got over 50 different knives from various manufacturers and the only other knife I've ever received this dull is a CRKT, and they aren't exactly known for their quality control. When you pay $170 for a knife, it doesn't necessarily need to be a razor, but it should certainly come sharp enough to cut a piece of 20lb paper without ripping it. Apparently I'm not the only one who experienced this, so given that this lack of sharpness is not an anomaly from Kizer, this particular knife will be both my first and last Kizer. It's a fantastic knife though, so if you don't mind having to sharpen it right out of the box you certainly won't be disappointed.

By far my best knife. Perfect size for edc. Fit and finish are excellent. Stonewash is beautiful as well. Lock up is solid. Out the box is sharpest knife I've had out of box. Scary sharp. The milled clip is elegant and holds pretty tight. Comes in and out like butter. This knife is smooth! Makes it hard to put any other knife in my pocket.
My new favorite knife

Got this knife less than a week ago and it is nearly perfect. Only comment was not as sharp as I would expect out of the box but that was remedied quickly with a stropping. Love it!

The Laconico Gemini is elegantly beautiful.
It looks smooth and curved with a few blue
highlights. It also feels beautiful in hand.
It flipped open on my first try in both right and left hand. It is actually leg hair shaving sharp.

There was some slight scratches on the back side of the pivot screw, that I could only see with a magnifying glass in good light. This is going to be a user knife, so there will soon be a lot more scratches. Those little scratches will become part of the personality of the knife.

Finally, thanks for the zipper pouch and micro-fiber cloth.
