After 8 months.......
John P.
This was my first Kizer and, possibly, my last. I've had it for about 8 months. The one I got hasn't held up well at all under light use. I haven't been hard on this knife AT ALL. When I first got it, I thought it was great. Smooth action, descent fit and finish, good lock up. However, after a couple of months of occasionally cutting some 550 paracord, tape, dog food bags and other similar materials, the action quickly became sloppy. The pivot can't be tweaked or tightened to reduce/remove the play without the blade dragging when flipping it open. No "sweet spot". I've been a journeyman machinist/tool and die maker, combination welder, fabricator for 28 years and am used to working with "super steels" and exotics and know metallurgy. I am more than capable of sharpening knives. I haven't been able to get this knife to take and hold a good sharp edge. I've tried Worksharp, Sharp Maker, diamond, india, ceramic and aluminum oxide stones. I can't get the edge to hold up even under light cutting tasks. I really like several of Kizer' s designs and had originally planned on getting at least two others after this one but, now I'm not so sure. It's possible I could have gotten a "bad one" but, for the price, I really expected a much better knife. I should have stayed with Benchmade.
Simply incredible!

I hate myself for not buying 2 of these when they were on sale. Bought it for my son as a Christmas gift & I really wish I had one for myself. The ball bearings make this knife flip open effortlessly... you’d swear it was a spring loaded assisted opening knife. The blade steel is VG10 and beautifully finished. It feels really good in the hand, not to big & not to small but just right. I have to get another!

I just received this this knife in the mail. Opened it, and holy crap it's fantastic. What pisses me off is that I bought it as a gift. I just received one of the best flippers I have ever spent money on, and I have to give it away on Christmas.
Great knife, Great Price

This is my first Kizer (although I am going to have to get more if they are all like this!) and I had fairly high expectations given what I had heard. even with that I was blown away. It is running on ceramic bearings, has a ceramic detent ball, the detent strength is pretty much just right, and it looks awesome. The action was good out of the box, but with some oil and breaking in, it is absolutely amazing. the hollow grind means it is slicier than you might expect given the size, and overall I love it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested!
Great Value for the price

You get great quality for a low price with this blade. The G10 handles have more grip than my Benchmade 710 and the edges of the G1e rounded off so there are no sharp edges just like the 710. The VG10 blade is beautiful, the finish is very nice, but it was not very sharp out of the box. Used my Spyderco ultra fine whet stone to put a wicked sharp edge on the VG10 blade. This was very easy to do. The ceramic ball bearings make flipping the knife open super smooth as is closing the knife. This blade is a great value for the price. Since VG10 is very rust resistant this knife makes a good everyday beater EDC. Buy this knife nd you will be happy you did, it's worth every dollar spent. Almost forgot to mention that it rides nicely in the pocket, fairly thin and light. I've been carrying this for 2 weeks and put my Ultratech in the safe.
Essentials are there, missing the details

Extremely loud and gritty pivot (I think its a faulty bearing), and blemishes in the satin finish blade. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

I like the pocket clip, g10 scales are mild, beefy liners, I'd say it is more a frame lock with scales, handsome blade shape, well executed flipper tab, stylish fasteners, and the indigo blue back spacer is tastefully appealing.
Wow! What a great knife for the price!

This is incredibly smooth flipper, especially for the price. I would have expected this knife to have cost much more. Great blade size. I am just amazed how much knife you get for the money.

Just remember that this is a liner lock and not a frame lock if that matters to you. It has a great lock-up in my opinion. I'm thinking about buying another one for a friend of mine.
