Customer Reviews

Awesome scales, very functional folder
Zach W. on Dec 7, 2021

I've only had this a short bit, but this knife has a lot going for it. It's my first Kizer knife, and I was drawn to it's contoured/grooved handle scales and am not disappointed. I love them both aesthetically and functionally and wish more knives had handles just like this. I'm inclined to think of this as more wharncliffe style blade than drop point (I'm no expert though) which is part of why it appealed to me to. Just works well for the paces I put my EDC pocket knives through. Action is good, flipper tab is well designed, finger choil is comfortable and well placed. For how slender this knife is it's super comfortable in hand and I have big hands. Only improvements/changes I'd love to see would be a little light jimping at the base of the spine of the blade - nothing crazy - and also a slightly beefier deep carry clip. This knife begs for a deep carry clip IMO. Other than that I love it and would recommend it.

amazing gift

This knife was gifted to me b a friend and have fallen in love. It has a small but accessible flipper tab, smooth action, wonderful ergonomics, and is just very fun to carry.

Nice Pocket-friendly Kizer
Nikolaus M. on Jan 8, 2018

I'm a relative newcomer to knives and was looking through the recent Kizer sale to see if I might want to purchase something. The two that caught my eye were Kizer Blast and Kizer Splinter. I ended purchasing both. What do I like about the Kizer Splinter? The long and relatively narrow blade and handle and light weight mean it disappears fairly well off to the side in my pocket. Besides having a long, flat cutting edge for slicing, it also has a nice point for piercing. It flips open pretty easily, and the textured G10 scales feel pretty good in my hand once open. I also like it that it's a liner lock, so both sides of the handle are G10. What would I change? I'd like to see some jimping on the flipper to make it even easier to open. I'd also like to see a deeper carry clip so the top of the knife wasn't exposed. The clip is really stiff, so I'd personally like a more relaxed clip to make placement/removal easier. Other than that, I don't think I'd change much of anything.
