Begleiter comes from the German language meaning "companion." Designed for those who prefer a slim profile, the Begleiter delivers. The handle is inset from the liners and keeps this knife incredibly lightweight and subtle in the pocket. It has an open-build with two barrel spacers on either side of the elongated lanyard hole. The EDC-ready design includes a reversible tip-up carry clip. A caged ball bearing pivot ensures a smooth and reliable action. The craftsmanship of the Kizer Begleiter is finished off completely by hand for sharpening, quality inspection, and is put to the test. Kizer Cutlery strives to bring the best knives forward while keeping them affordable.

This is my third kizer and they very in price but never in quality, I consider each of them a great value.I love each of them and this my latest one is no different, blade steel, centering, lock up,looks, edge retention all that for a amazing value.l'd like to say thanks to bhq for offering such a brand and value, keep up the great work guys and hat's off to kizer knife's you've done it again, love my new knife.

Great medium-slim knife
Zak B. on Oct 11, 2016

As always I am impressed with Kizer made in china but they really pay attemtion to detail and their craftsmanship as well as design is of high quality. This one flicks out perfectly with the thumb stud, is a nice slim profile blade and handle, and fits slim in the pocket. Is still a good size knife to use. Really good finish overall I am glad I added this to my collection.

New fav
philip r. on Jun 2, 2017

Just got my first kizer and love it. For what I paid I think its a lot of knife. Perfect size, not small and not to big, I would classify this as a middle sized knife. Blade is sharp and the G-10 scales are grippy. Opens easy with thumb studs.

First Kizer (so far)
Ed V. on May 17, 2019

Before saying anything about the knife, I have to say that the packaging and presentation are just superb. Now as a knife buyer and a user, I love this knife. The opening and closing functions are smooth and very easy to operate. It has a quality feel and a beautiful appearance. I haven't even had it for a week and already I have ordered a Kizer framelock. This Begleiter feels comfortable both in my hand and in my pocket.

Don't need vows for it to be with you forever
Matt L. on Feb 15, 2020

Kizer Begleiter, I have fallen in love with this knife. A nice rich green with a tight blue highlight. The knife is so slim and slicy, it disappears in the pocket. The blade is sharp, thin, and the finish hides wear well. The action is humble, not super flashy or fast, but robust, reliable, and simple. The companion is easy to close, the pocket clip is of surprising quality, and the ergonomics are a treat in the hands. I know I already said so, but let me reiterate. The Begleiter is comfortable in the hand and invisible in the pocket. The G-10 is initially almost too positive, and the liners are polished to the point they feel soft. I just love this one, looks stellar, fair price, and yet another fantastic piece of steel from Germany. Thanks for the recommendation G, 93/100

New to Kizer
Kasey W. on May 18, 2018

First time buying a Kizer and I have to say I am very impressed, have my eye on a few more from them now. Loved the look of the green handle with grey blade. Blade centering and attention to detail are impressive. Overall feels great in hand and low profile in pocket which is always nice. Classy yet sturdy and dependable for EDC.

Great Fidget Factor
David W. on Jan 13, 2020

I own several flippers but for fun fidgeting in front of the TV I've enjoyed playing with my Rat 1, so I went shopping for another thumb tab opener. The Begleiter exceeded my expectations...after loosening the pivot screw 1/8 turn it flies open like an assisted knife with a satisfying thwack. It has perfect centering and zero blade play. IMO this is a much nicer knife than other VG10 offerings like the Spyderco Delica and it costs $25 less. It's becoming one of my favorite knives, I like it as well or better than my Spydies or ZT's. The gray blade and green scales are quite pretty, with a nice blue accent on the pivot screw. It's my third Kizer and you can't go wrong--I also own a Dukes and a Mini Sheepdog, both nice small flippers. Because I've grown a little tired of the forest of flippers I'm already considering adding a Mini Begleiter. If you're on the fence regarding Chinese knives, get over it and pull the trigger on a Kizer or Civivi, or more specifically this Begleiter (my favorite Chinese knife to date). At $59 it's a steal of a deal.

well done knife
Josh n. on Mar 1, 2018

This knife is really classy. But now that there is a stonewash blade version, I would go with that since the titanium nitride coating can scratch off on this one. It doesn't come off easily, and doesn't look bad, but it does show if used through abrasive material. Awesome lines and fit and finish is great!

Great knife!
Dustin P. on Jan 19, 2018

This knife is better than many $100 knives. The liners are thick and sturdy, lock up is solid. Definitely recommend this one! Years later: I still carry this knife often.

Solid Purchase
Brandon F. on Sep 7, 2019

This is a great carry knife! I can hand this knife to anyone and not feel self conscious about it. Its Sturdy enough to be a user, but elegant and non-threatening. I dig the multiple color options, black scales are boring. The only thing I can see that would make it better would be a proper deep pocket clip.

Second kizer and not disappointed
Sean E. on Jan 7, 2018

This knife is insane for the price and the color coordination is really nice. It sits nicely in the pocket and doesn't take up the entire thing there is room for more edc gear. A very nice affordable knife.

Very impressed
Brandon D. on Jan 4, 2017

I purchased this knife for edc as my poor spyderco needs a vacation. I stumbled across this while browsing the site and the looks really jumped out at me, I loved the simple lines and colors. When I opened the box and held it, wow. Everything is tip top. Smooth fast action, sits well in my hand, grip is just right for me as I prefer a smoother scale on my edc knives. All in all I think this knife will last a very long time and I will be looking into other Kizer products in the future. Highly recommend this knife.

Surprisingly good
Travis C. on Feb 25, 2019

I really thought this would be a four star purchase as I pretty much just wanted a Kizer to add to my collection since I didn’t have one. It has surprisingly made it into my regular rotation. I have XXL hands and it fits me well without taking up too much pocket real estate at all. The G10 is the perfect level of checkboard-like grip for me too. It also has that gentlemanly aspect to it due to its profile. It’s easy to get it to the scary sharp level. You’ll have no issue getting it razor sharp without much effort at all. I had my name put on the blade and this looks great too. Thx BladeHQ.

My First Kizer

Really impressed with this knife. The value is incredible, and the blue pivot collar is icing on the cake.

Great value

Strong, solid, & great price. Sons are fairly rough on them doing construction I'm impressed.

Stunning Knife

Everything you need and more for EDC
Alexander G. on Apr 24, 2017

This knife is everything i needed out of a blade to carry around my work and at home. Its slim and light so i never notice its weight when carrying it. The tip up carry is also a plus for me. Its also a beautiful piece of work with the green scales and the slim design. it opens like a champ with a little oil between the washers and the blade holds a edge all day while cutting through boxes and what not. my only gripe is the paint on the blade scrapes real easy. For 55 bucks no blade comes close to the value you get with this knife.

Can't beat quality at the price point.
Luke M. on May 20, 2018

This knife has spoiled me on $50 knives. I used to think you had to sink over $100 into a knife to get this kind of quality. Deploy is buttery smooth, blade keeps an edge well, and the build just feels sturdy overall. I will definitely be looking at adding other Kizer products to my collection.

Not an Osborne but great Knife
Scott t. on Nov 6, 2018

Now, I have to say, my dream knife is an Osborne 940. And while there is no comparison between this knife and that one, I have to say after a couple weeks, this is a solid knife. The action is smooth, the blade steel is good, fit and finish are beautiful. As soon as I saw this knife, I wanted it, but thought, it cant look that good in reality. So I got it and it looked and felt even better. So in my opinion guys you cant go wrong with this knife, really beautiful and useful edc.

home run
Ben M. on Mar 14, 2019

Overview: Aesthetics - good Fit and Finish - good Ergonomics - Very good Edge - good Traction - Excellent Clip - good Lockup - Excellent Blade centering - Very good Size - medium Weight - Average This knife is amazing. I love that it has thumb studs in a market almost totally flooded with flippers. It works well in the left and right hand. I wish the blade steel was a little better. Something like M390 or S30vn would be very welcome. I know they came out with a Ti framelock tanto version, but it has a flipper and only has a right handed clip. So I have no interest in it. I just want this exact knife with better steel. It would make it one of the best knives on the market.

Killer Kizer
Mike P. on Dec 1, 2017

This knife rocks! GREAT VALUE, this blade feels like it should cost 3x as much as I paid. Giving them as gifts this Christmas but I kept one for myself. Oh very smooth action! Razor sharp out of the box, it comes with a nice blade cloth too! BUY!

Cory B. on Feb 22, 2020

I have wanted a Kizer Begleiter for some time. When I received mine for a Christmas gift. It was more then I expected. The feel and fit and finish is incredible. You cant go wrong with this knife.

My new favorite
Kiet d. on Sep 24, 2017

It's perfect, looks great, grip is amazing. Super super sharp right out of the box. Best bang for the buck, can't really find a Knife with a VG-10 blade for this pricing. No cons on this piece. Thinking about purchasing the black one too. Definitely recommending this one.

Thumb stud to small
Shawn o. on Jun 1, 2018

Love this knife except I have XL thumbs and I have trouble finding the correct purchase point to open the knife with our, flicking my rest. I guess this beauty is a bit to small for my big mitts.I would recommend this knife to any one with small to regular sized hands.

Made to be used.
Kyle P. on Aug 9, 2018

Ok, as people say, you get what you pay for. I think the price point is just right on this one. The titainium blade Finnish looks a little cheesey. There is a little side play I'm the blade and if you tighten the pivot screw to get rid of the play it doesn't really flip out very good. However the grind is perfect. It came very sharp. It looks pretty cool(even with the blade paint) and I just like it, which is the most important thing. This is a good working knife that I'm not afraid to use and scratch.

The Rye and the Kizer
Jay R. on Jun 11, 2019

I picked this up at SMKW when I was visiting my daughter in East TN. Nitpicks- no jimping; minimal side to side play when open. I think that this is a great knife and I have no regrets about the purchase. I don't know if this is going away forever, or may be the victim of an upgrade. I would highly recommend this. It was in my pocket today. It's on the desk now. A true companion.

Quality knife
Christopher M. on Mar 29, 2019

I love this knife. Very nice gentleman's knife. Blade was perfectly centered, liner lock was very solid and required a good amount of pressure to unlock (for those who worry about liner locks), handle is small in circumference but perfectly grippy, grip is straight and not contoured but the thumb groove is good, nice polished spacers, ok detent, 2 brass bushings on each side with a silicone like paper between them. The action is not super slick, takes a while to break in. I had to tighten the screw a little so there wasn't side to side blade play and the made the action even stiffer but it smoothed out eventually.

for the price, its great.
albert t. on Feb 27, 2018

It's a great knife for the price. was a bit stiff but adjusting the pivot helped. the edge was *ok* so had it resharpened. Adjusted the clip a bit as its a tad tight and the scales are a bit ruff - that combo just tears up my jeans. Overall i dig it. makes a great beater knife.

Good value
Tim N. on Mar 14, 2019

A very good budget option that won’t sacrifice quality

Odd texture, fine action.
Timothy M. on Sep 8, 2019

The action, lines, and general fit and finish are all fine. No real complaints there. The knife came extremely well oiled, so much so that the scales retained the oil for a little while until they dried out. The G10 is somewhere between too much traction and too slick. I don't know how they did it but it's both too slick and too rough at the same time. Other than that its a fine knife.

Like how this knife looks.
michael L. on Mar 16, 2019

Good looking knife, decent steel ergos are ok (im very picky on this) excited about the mini begleiter.
