Description

Description

This model of the Kizer Mini Begleiter comes equipped with a stonewash finished drop point blade and OD green G-10 handle scales.

Due to the popularity of the Begleiter, and the requests to make an even more pocket friendly version, Kizer has created the Mini Begleiter. It features all of the things that made the original so popular, just on a smaller scale. It has a capable 2.8" stonewashed blade and reliable stainless steel liner lock mechanism. The handle is outfitted with G-10 scales, inset from the satin liners, and the pivot features blue collar accents. It has an open-build with two barrel spacers on either side of the elongated lanyard hole. The EDC-ready design includes a tip-up carry clip.

I picked this up a little over a month ago and I think it's been in my pocket every day since!

The action on this knife is nearly as snappy as my Benchmade Barrage or Kershaw Blackout, it really feels like an assisted open.

I was surprised and pleased at how sharp the edge is and so far staying so, after cutting through a ton of cardboard.

I think this is a great EDC or Gentleman carry knife, I'm using it to offset my Benchmade Valet that was my previous small carry knife.

The only single drawback is I'd like to see this knife with a deep carry clip and haven't found one for it yet.

This is another company, like WE, that has be eating my words about Chinese made knives. Everything about the build quality and materials is well done. In fact, it impressed me much more than the Feist that I purchased a few months ago, which didn't last a week before the blade got sloppy loose. If you are into budget EDC knives and don't need the absolute high end steals and scales, I can recommend the Vanguard series all day long. That said, I still think WE/CIVIVI takes the top spot for Chinese knives and Kizer Vanguard is giving them a run for the money.

The only issue I've had with the knife is how it feels in the hand. I bought the mini because the blade length and weight are right in my sweet spot. I carry many knives in this size range, but this knife feels odd, too narrow in my hand. This is really subjective and your mileage may verry.
