This Blade HQ Exclusive Kizer Vanguard Sheepdog features a stonewash finished blade made of CPM-M4 steel and black micarta handle scales.
Description:
The Kizer Sheepdog has been a staple in the knife world for years now, notable from its iconic cleaver blade and comfortable handle. It makes a real statement every time it's drawn. It has a real look to it, but looks aren't everything. It's also a functional EDC knife that can slice like the best of them. Get yourself a Sheepdog, and you'll know why they have the knife community buzzing!

I have to admit this was more of an impulse buy but I'm really glad I did. It's slimmer than my other Sheepdawgs and I like that quite a bit. The Micarta feels pretty good. It's not polished and has a little grip to it which I very much like. Kizer changed up their detent a little bit recently and it's very snappy now. You have to put a bit more pressure on the flipper tab but it will be much harder to fail.
I've been hoping for a budget 3-3.5" Sheepdog for a while now, fits nicely between my XL and Mini. Lighter than I thought it would be. I really like the fact that the frame/liner is recessed into the scales, gives it a very clean look. Also feels really nice in the hand. Great action, has a satisfying snap when it locks into place (like the XL). Nice big flipper like the rest. Sharp out the box. I love this knife, I plan on getting one of the Black finished blades when they come back in stock!
