The Flame, a sleek flipper knife designed by Michael Zieba, boasts an attractive look without compromising quality. This Flame model has a green canvas micarta handle and a sandblasted Bohler M390 steel blade in a dagger style.
Features:This knife is a great piece of steel, titanium, and micarta. It looks gorgeous and has a decent lockup. There is only a slight bit of side to side blade play but it can be controlled by the pivot screw. But, the pivot screw is the main issue of the knife; it comes loose OFTEN. I may be one of those knife guys that opens and closes their knives constantly, especially when it’s new, but the pivot screw loosening and compromising the knife and it’s centering is a disappointment. If you have a something that can tighten the gorgeous hardware on the knife, buy one. If you don’t want to tighten up your pivot screw every 1-5 days depending on usage, don’t.
