This Maratac Peanut Lighter is made of 300 series stainless steel with a threaded and o-ring sealed cap so you can store it for a long period of time without the fluid drying out. These lighters use standard liquid lighter fluid that you will need to add on your own. Great survival and everyday carry lighter that won't weigh you down.

Bought this 4 years ago and forgot to review it. As an EDC item its wonderful. I dont smoke but sometimes its nice to have a source of flame. Very reliable, I did take it camping a few times. The tight little body keeps out water and dirt. Almost always lights on the first time. Fuel does evaporate but much slower than a Zippo. Its also small and tough, doesn't take up much space on a keychain or a tiny pocket. Highly recommended.
You never know when you need it, so I rather have it. Will get more for my loved ones.
All the maratac lighters perform amazingly well for the money. None of them leak fuel at all, but they don't store much fuel so if you plan on using this lighter often, don't buy it. Get something bigger like the peanut XL (Cmon BHQ start selling it already!) If you are looking for a lighter that you can store long term in a survival tin or something like that, this is the lighter for you
I bought 3 of these to put in the glove box of our 3 vehicles, mainly for emergency use, if needed. I put in the flints, fluid, & tested them. All worked perfectly. Just to test the O-rings & claimed waterproof quality, I put all of them under water for 72 hours. I took them out, dried off the outside, opened them up, and all 3 light up like they were supposed too. At $14.00 apiece, what a great deal!!!
