A great modern take on the classic Higonokami. The lever lines up flush with the back of the knife when its open, completely smooth to the touch. Unlike a classic Higonokami this one locks in place when its open or close, its really well done and a great feature that makes this unique in my collection. The pictures don't really do it justice, this things a beauty!
What a gorgeous knife!

This thing is just drop-dead gorgeous! The blade is 3 layers (their website says so) so San Mai? Itís a vg10 core. The blade is beautiful, there is a thin polished line between the core and outer layers that just cements the whole effect, and itís stunning. The rest of the knife is beautiful as well, fit and finish are top-notch. It is a friction lock, not a slip joint. The detent at fully open is nice and confidence-inspiring. The blade is large-ish at 3.5 in roughly but the knife overall is fairly light. This thing is going to see a lot of pocket time. If you donít have any traditional folders or friction locks in your collection, this would definitely be a fantastic first. P.S. this is by far the sharpest knife out of the box I have owned to date. Sharper then my Maxmet para 3 (former king of sharp) it is crazy sharp!
