This knife came in extremely sharp, with the blade accurately-ground and perfectly-centered. The bearings are silky-smooth, but I cannot flick open the blade with my thumb without a wrist flip. I haven't tried to loosen the pivot screw, nor have I applied any oil just yet. I'm hoping that the knife will wear in. That said, it comes open smoothly, easily, and fully by pushing my thumb through the entire opening arc--it just doesn't replicate the snappiness of a flipper opener. But seriously, the deployment "delay" is a fraction of a second... The faces of the liner lock and the liners themselves are mirror-polished--a pleasant surprise, and indicative of the quality construction. I agree with the other reviewers that the knife is an outstanding value.
Mcusta. They are a kind of conundrum to me. I have two Tactility models this one and the Indian Rosewood/Damascus version. Both are so unbelievably sharp right out of the box I find myself wondering how they do it. Once you get used to the thumb hold the blade rockets out into lock up. These knives are easily worth twice what they charge.
I have a lot of high end knives costing several times this one. This knife has become my EDC. The build quality is outstanding-like a custom. The VG10 blade is perfectly crafted. The blade is razor sharp and tough, solid lock up. The thumb hole works great with a Zip tie flipper for super fast and quiet deployment. Deployment is quiet, silky and fast. The clip is reversible. The jimping on the top and bottom is great. Great grip on the knife. I put a little friction tape on the scales. The liner lock is excellent. I was so impressed with the Tactiltiy that I bought two of them with different scales. Get one or two, tremendous bang for the buck.
