Microtech Troodon S/E OTF Automatic Knife Blue (3" Black) 139-1BL

This Troodon has a black coated stainless steel drop point style blade with a plain edge. The handle is blue anodized aluminum with black finished hardware, pocket clip and glass breaker tip.

The Troodon is a compact automatic knife with Microtech's signature double action out-the-front performance. It was named after the Troodon dinosaur, a small, smart and quick hunter. The handle is shaped with tapered ends and grooves for added grip. If you're looking for a bigger knife that features the same great style, the Microtech Combat Troodon (25% larger) is an excellent choice.

Customer Reviews

Very cool knife!
JERRY B. on Dec 9, 2019

This is my first Microtech, and first automatic knife. Build quality is very good. It's super lightweight, and a perfect size for my hand. The anodized blue looks amazing, and I like the two toned blade. I wondered if the blade would feel loose - as compared to folding knives. Good news is that you can't feel any movement from shaking side to side. My only concern before buying was if it might deploy the blade if the trigger gets caught while pulling out of my pocket. Not a concern - as it takes substantial force to open. Only downside is the machined steps in the trigger switch are rather sharp, and it does wear on your thumb when opening & closing a lot. I'm sure the novelty will wear off so I won't be actuating it as much - or eventually my thumb will toughen up!
