Microtech Combat Troodon D/E OTF Automatic Knife (3.8" Stonewash) 142-10

Microtech's largest OTF production knife is named after the Troodon dinosaur. The Combat Troodon is the larger (really large!) version of the popular Troodon. Despite the size the handle feels slim and comfortable. The double edge dagger style blade is both attractive and functional and the action is Microtech excellent. T-6 black anodized handle. Includes glass breaker and pocket clip.

Customer Reviews

Glad I made the plunge!

I had my eye on this knife for a long time, but hesitated because of the price tag. I'd picked up a Dirac a few months ago and really liked it. Of course, the Dirac is a MUCH smaller knife--and far cheaper than this big beast. But after toting my Dirac around, I decided to go all in and finally picked up the Combat Troodon. I am thrilled with it. I have very large hands, being 6'5, and this big beauty gives me plenty of handle for my big mitts. It may be expensive, but it's going to last, and it is impeccably designed and constructed. I'd owned a number of Microtech fixed blades, so I was already familiar with their build quality. I couldn't be happier!

Very nice, razor sharp, excellent fit and finish. Just what you'd expect from a Microtech OTF. Didn't realize how big these were until I actually got it. If you don't wan't a huge knife, maybe consider the Ultratech or UTX-85 instead. If you like big OTF knives with an almost 4" blade, well this is the ticket. The only dissappointment was that it says M390 in the description, and mine came in Elmax. Not a big deal, Elmax is top of the line but it would be nice to know exactly what you are getting.
