The Microtech Scarab is perhaps the mother of all out-the-front automatic knives. The Scarab is double action meaning it fires both out and in via the slide button located on the right side of the knife. The action, lock-up and quality on the Scarab is top-notch Microtech.
This Scarab Executive features a light stone wash finished Elmax blade with a plain cutting edge. The smooth surface, black anodized T-6 aluminum handle has a tip-down carry pocket clip and glass breaker tip.
After receiving and returning two broken ultratechs,I decided to upgrade to what I hoped would be a better knife. This thing is sweet. While the finish on the ultratech is on par with this the fit and action on the scarab executive is much better. Definitely worth the extra money. Get one while they are on sale.
