This knife wow…I’m speechless the quality of these phenomenal. So sturdy , very minimal play in knife and of course razor sharp! Please do not hesitate with mircotech as the quality is unmatched. The side button needs to be pressed really firm upwards or downwards (as it should ) to deploy blade. You definitely will not discharge this knife unintentionally, and for any reason you do microtechs safety feature kicks in dislodging the blade from the track. I will say I’ve never owned a otf knife but I’m so glad that this was my first one 10/10, will definitely buy another one day.
First I bought a replica from wish.com and fell in love with the Microtech aesthetic, function, and appeal. Sadly that wish.com example perpetuated and broke internally within 2 weeks. After buying a REAL Microtech, I can honestly say it's miles above, and I'm super happy with my purchase. The action is flawless, the aesthetics and attention to detail are incredible and the knife is a joy to use. Came razor sharp out of the box, and the dagger point is EXTREMELY stabby. If you're on the fence about getting a standard Microtech but don't want to ball out on a custom, the bronzed finish provides a great in-between that really stands out from other knives.
I got this knife about 2 years ago from my beautiful wife. It was my edc even after I lost her to Cancer I carried it everyday. One day I was in a terrible car accident and it saved my life in everything from the cutting of my seatbelt, to the use of the glass breaker on the window. Sadly it was damaged, and when I mailed it in was told it could not be repaired and that kind of damage voided the warranty. So I wrote Tony a message explaining it's importance to me. Believe it or not they gave me a new $330.00 knife for free and still paid extra care in mailing my old one that ment so much back to me. There are no words except that the owner of this company is a great man, and if anyone is to invest in a quality higher end knife, it is my opinion that the only thing that could be better than the craftsmanship of this company is the character of it's workers and their unrelenting care and compassion in dealing with it's costumer's. I for one could never thank them enough, and one day hopefully soon will have enough to get my Grail knife from them being a marifone custom Halo 5 or 6 mirror polished tanto tipped with a Albany inlay garnished with some type of mammoth bone, and cast from bohler m390. Set with a dragon scale inlay. I'd call it the ice age halo, might sound dumb to some of you but it was something me and mare bear came up with, and think Tony is the one to one day bring it to fruition, sorry for the book and thanks for reading. I maintained this knife I oil it I own two of them they used to be my everyday carrying but sometimes they don't fully deploy I won't trust my life on my neck that doesn't deploy
