I tried to break it....

...and I ended up breaking the tip off of it, but just the tip...
I got this (3 of them actually; kept 1 for me and gave the others to family) and wanted to see what all the hype was about. At first I babied and took care of it until I bout bigger/ nicer/ more expensive knives and I thought, "well, let's see what it can really do..." and I was not disappointed! It became my work-in-the-yard-toolbox-knife, and I used it to pry/cut anything that needed doing. I hammered on it and batoned it too, and the 3/4 tang just plain held up fine. I've resharpened it dozens of times, and re-profiled the tip after it broke off, which was very easy to do with files.
In the end, I could break it really, if I just flat out decided to do so, but after some very hard use, with no regard for this poor knife's well-being, it just would not break. If you need an absolute perfect entry level bushcraft, high carbon steel knife, this is it.
Excellent bushcrafting on a budget

This is hands-down my favorite bushcrafting knife, when paired with one of the Schrade Frontier series blades, there's no task they can't handle
Wow, this knife grew on me.

I must say as long as I've been into knives I've never liked the look of Mora knives. They always looked like something IKEA would sell in their kitchen department. After seeing lots of great reviews I bought the HD Companion model from BHQ and eventually fell in love with it. The best fixed blade money can buy. Handle still looks a bit goofy to me but it is very grippy. The finish work on the knife I got is unbelievable for any knife in this price range. The edge is razor sharp and the knife is well balanced. Get 2 or 3 of these knives and stow them in different places. Great inexpensive product.
