The 490 M9 Bayonet from Ontario OKC is part of their Military Issued line of knives. It has a black oxide coated 420 stainless steel blade with serrated saw back spine. Steel guard and pommel with molded OD green handle that is textured for grip. This knife comes with a snug fitting molded plastic sheath. Fit M16, M4 & AR-15 firearms.
I had originally bought this to affix to the end of my Mossberg 590A1 Retrograde for some range fun and ended up with it on the daily at work outdoors. Sheath is sturdy and reliable with great retention with or without the snap around the handle. Wire cutter function found use quite often at work (we often weren't well supplied for some of our jobs) and I even found use for the flathead driver twice, though running back to the truck for a proper flathead would have saved me some time. Looping around the belt is simple once you see how it works and it will never come loose on you. Only problem I had was the lack of a thigh strap to keep it snug to the body as running - and even fast walking - bashed the hard plastic against my thigh. Even sitting let the knife fall to awkward angles. I recently opted for T.REX ARMS nylon strap, the stretchiness helps, but note their ranger green isn't the same shade of OD green on the sheath or its webbing. Holes are 1.5", so any 1.5" or smaller thigh strap you find will work. On the 590A1 itself, I haven't had it come off on me while shooting. Haven't tried any AR15 with bayonet lugs, but given the muzzle ring sits deep around the barrel, it shouldn't be a problem.
