Classy and delicate
Daniel H.
By delicate, I'm referring to its styling and mechanical design, not necessarily it's abilities. This is a very old, classic design with specific uses in mind. Think of a 17th century French Old Timer. The fit and finish of these knives is very high quality, despite the price. For gardening, whiddling, and other light uses, this is a solid option. It can also be a good first knife for a young outdoors-person. The locking collar mechanism is super simple, but works well. The stainless blade is very clean and sharp, but is thin, so hard duty tasks are not recommended. The beechwood grip is light and simple but fits comfortably in the hand. Opinel knives are an inexpensive breath of fresh air in a tactical knife crowed market.
