This Calmigo model is a limited first production run that features a stout CA legal drop point blade with a satin finish and plain cutting edge. The Pro-Tech Calmigo is a compact automatic knife geared toward everyday carry and general utility. Its blue anodized aluminum handle has jimping on the spine, paired with a shallow finger groove, to provide ample grip and precise control over the blade. The Calmigo is fitted with a sliding safety lock and a deep carry pocket clip, making it a comfortable and secure EDC option.
Features:Just got this little gem. Man you better hold on to this thing the first time you open it up! What a snappy action!! The button and safety switch were VERY slightly gritty but a few drops of blue lube and just playing with it have smoothed it out. Gonna be my edc when i move back to Cali. Great size for my biggish hands for letter and box duty. I got PR3 #13. :)
...they're not on the first run anymore. Just FYI. Dont let that prevent you from picking up the best little knife I've ever seen, nor let any aversion you may have to small knives. I myself don't care for knives I cant fully grip, but besides an excellent, ergonomic design, the Calmigo has a feature not mentioned on the BladeHQ site: a lanyard hole in the butt of frame, perfectly sized for ungutted 325 paracord. Especially on a knife this small, I find lanyards to be incredibly helpful maintaining grip. I probably would have bought it without the lanyard hole, but once I saw that there was no question. Other than that, it's just what you'd expect if youre at all familiar with Pro-tech: absolutely perfect construction, a surprisingly hefty (for its size) blade made of the best example of 154CM steel in existence today; and the blade deploys with a SNAP! loud enough to wake the neighbors and hard enough that you'll feel the shockwave up your wrist. It's Pro-Tech--in other words, basically perfect. What more can I say...oh wait, I know: the anodized blue on this knife is a truly beautiful color. The pics don't capture it accurately at all; they make it look much too childish, like the blue in a cartoon, perhaps. It's actually a much richer, deeper hue, and I'd take it over the standard "knife-black" black handle any time. It's really stunning.
Just got this little knife. It is the perfect replacement for my old one except this is an automatic. This fast opening machine will be carried daily. The knife is solid and tight. It has a great locking option that makes it much more versatile for me when I am not using the pocket clip.
Got my knife in the mail today, very impressed with this little sharp Beauty. It's going to make a good everyday companion. So right now I got to give this one a 5 but haven't put any miles on it. Oh, and one thing else I should mention... I seem to have gotten the knife in the actual picture for this product, SN#850! Shouldn't I get a floor model discount?
