This Limited Edition Cambria model sports a stonewashed blade and a black anodized aluminum handle with a tuxedo ivory micarta inlay and button.
The Cambria is the first flipper folding knife to join Pro-Tech's extensive lineup. It offers a slender, easy-to-carry build with a ball bearing pivot and button lock for smooth one-handed operation. The curvature of the handle provides a comfortable and natural grip, with the flipper serving as a guard for added security during use. Complete with a deep carry clip and a lanyard cut handle, the Cambria is a top contender for a slot in your EDC rotation.
Features:
While I did like this knife when I first bought it, I’ve come to like it even more after carrying it for a few weeks. The size is perfect to fit in the lightweight slacks I wear to work and to not scare my coworkers when I use it. With regard to performance, while the steel choice is not the latest and greatest, it’s more than adequate for everyday use and is easy to sharpen. Also, the button lock is kind of unique and works well (although I did have to tighten the pivot quite a bit as mine had side to side blade play out of the box). Finally, the handle shape is outstanding as the contour really helps to provide a solid grip despite the lack of jimping.
I prefer light weight folders and the Cambria is perfect. The feel in hand is superb. Flipper action and lockup are outstanding. No blade play. Deep pocket carry. Aesthetics and blade shape / grind exceed. My unit is 143 of 200. Protech manual folders are scarce. Definitely a practical, tactical, gentleman's folder. If any collectors are eying the black pearl for $850, it has to be gorgeous.
