Direct from Shot Show 2019 this Newport model has an anodized aluminum handle with a red marble carbon fiber inlay. The S35-VN steel blade comes in a stonewash finish. Item includes satin hardware and a black tip-up carry pocket clip.
The Newport is a larger version of Pro-Tech's Sprint knife. It utilizes the same stellar design cues, but the larger platform will appeal to folks with larger hands and those who prefer more to hold on to.
An excellent knife, perfect for those times when you have to wear slacks to a party or work function. The deep carry clip combined with the thin, lightweight aluminum handle means that this knife virtually disappears into your pocket. I did note that the blade was slightly off-center out of the box, but this was easily corrected. Also, the red/black carbon fiber insert isn’t quite as marbled as the stock picture, but that’s unavoidable as the marble effect is random. All in all, an amazingly snappy little automatic.
