The TR-4 is a whole new take on Pro-Tech's popular Tactical Response line. It incorporates a much requested sliding safety on the front of the handle. This TR-4 features a 4" black DLC finished 154-CM steel blade with a plain edge. The ergonomic handle is blue anodized T6 aluminum. The TR-4 is a knife that will not let you down. It fires hard, locks up like a rock (what else would you expect from Pro-Tech?) and feels great. The TR-4 has a pocket clip (tip up) on the back of the knife for easy carry.
The TR-4 is an amazing knife. You better hold onto it tight when it fires open because the snap is not just hype of Protech's knives, I would have preferred CPM-S35VN steel over the 154-CM that this blade comes with, but so far, no real issues on edge retention yet. They do make the TR-5 in CPM-S35VN steel with a 3.25" blade, once the blue version is " In-Stock", i will be adding it to the collection.. If Protech ever makes the "Godfather" in CPM-S35VN steel, i would purchase it immediately-! Once you fire the button on a Protech knife, you will be a customer for life-!
