I've heard about Protech knives having the strongest springs. By golly that is more than the truth. This things whips out faster than you can blink. I loved the blade shape but the stupid hump in the middle of the handle was so uncomfortable that I wound up returning it. That was the biggest issue in my opinion. The aluminum handles were too smooth also. I wish the handles were textured all the way around, like the top and bottom of the handle scale was. That would've been much better.
Good knife

Great blade... Super fast and snappy good blade steel would have given a 5 but, the handle is very square, and not all that comfortable for heavy use. Additionally the blade and a little spot on the clip has some staining. I keep my knives oiled and I own more than 10 150$+ knives 4 of which are protechs everything else is black blade and never had that issue, I was able to clean it up with a little work. Get the black blade and hard wear. Gave one to the groom for a wedding present and he loves it. For a little more money the TR-3 is a great blade, much more comfortable handle, more blade but not much more length. TR-3 = 5 star.
