The QSP Osprey is a perfect EDC knife. Not too big, not too small, just right. It uses a simple design that is comfortable in the hand and easy to cut with. Don't be fooled by its price! This folder is made of tough, high-performance materials and will serve you well for years to come.
QSP Folding Knives are beloved in the knife world for offering quality cutting tools at bargain prices.
I received this wonderful knife as a gift and I have to say that I respectfully disagree with the categorization of the blade stock as a "huge hunk of metal" that could double as a pry bar, as the other reviewer stated. Again, with respect, I believe the .11 inch blade to be PLENTY thin and slicey, especially when the Para3 is .15 inches. I believe most users will find .11 inches to be a very satisfactory width and will have no problem using the Osprey as intended -- just don't try to hammer or pry.
You get a nice 14C28N blade and beautiful red/black G10/shredded CF mix scales. The pivot uses ceramic ball bearings. Blade centering and general fit and finish are all on point. The flipper action is nice and smooth. I don't like the thick blade stock and liners. Are we talking pocket knife and part time hammer/pry bar?? I'd hoped that the BM Bugout's perfect blade stock thickness would have helped steer the industry away from these huge hunks of metal that partially function as cutting tools but maybe not. I also have an issue with the back-spacer/laniard hole. Creates a major hot-spot in my palm. I intend to replace it with some nice red standoffs to accent the existing red in the scales. Despite the caveats, I'm still very happy with the knife.
