Description

Description

This Kestrel Feather model is outfitted with Dirty Olive G-10 handle scales and a Tungsten Cerakote finished head.

The Kestrel Feather Tomahawk from RMJ Tactical offers a shorter and lighter version of the popular Eagle Talon Tomahawk. It was designed to be more concealable and more functional in tight quarters. The full-tang I-Beam handle design offers 3D machined G-10 scales for a secure, positive grip in gloved or bare hands. Deferentially heat treated steel throughout the handle and blade ensures a solid, durable build that will stand the test of time.

Features:
  • Single piece construction made from a 1/4" oversized billet of machined 4140 steel provides unparalleled strength and hardness.
  • 3D machined G-10 handle scales ensure a secure and reliable grip.
  • Molded kydex sheath comes equipped with low ride MOC straps for comfortable belt carry.

Overall this is a very nice hawk with a nice design , great balance , great fit and finish. The problem is the handles are attached with cheap aluminum rivets which is equivalent to placing retreads on Ferrari. What makes it even more mind boggling is I read somewhere that this was considered an "upgrade " over real screws. I guess one can try to make the argument that it may be easier to tighten a rivet in the field with a sharp blow with a rock but we are not talking about a quality brass fastener on a Randall or EK knife. This is a garbage fixture and ruins the whole gestalt.
