It opens wicked fast using the thumb stud and the assisted action. The textured GRN handle provides a great grip while keeping the weight down. The deep belly of the blade makes slicing and skinning tasks easy.

Features:
  • Tough D2 blade is strong and resists wear.
  • GRN handle is light and rugged.
  • Reversible deep carry clip and a lanyard hole.

The new Aegis AT-XR rocks!

I have a mini Aegis from a decade or more ago and loved it. When I saw this new one, had to have. Does not disappoint. Take note it is hard to get the blade moving at first. So much so I almost returned it. A little oil and breaking in and this baby is good to go. It's action is perfect now, love it!

Sturdy SOG

One of the sharpest knives I've received. I usually have to mess with the edge and it doesn't matter which brand, I've gotten dull knives from all of them. This one was perfect out of the box. I actually love this knife, in spite of what some critics may think of the extra lock and lanyard placement. The only real issue is the screws on the pocket clip. Definitely too large for the clip design. I can't even carry the knife until I replace them because they chew up my pocket.
