The Military & Police SWMP1600S from Smith & Wesson is a USA made automatic knife with a premium S30V steel drop point blade, matte satin finished with a partially serrated edge. The handle is anodized aluminum with grip grooves and includes a safety slide for peace of mind and a tip-up carry pocket clip.
I purchased this knife several months ago now and have been able to see it through a few tests. The blade holds its edge well under nominal use however, possibly from a result of the mechanism design, the blade moves back and forth slightly when wiggled. The finish appears to be standing up well other than the pocket clip which has lost some finish from sliding in and out of my pocket. The opening action is quick and strong with a nice locking mechanism that requires a good sliding motion to move into opening mode. Overall, I like the knife and would recommend it.
