This Para 3 Sprint Run model is built with burnt orange G-10 handle scales and a premium CPM-Rex 45 steel blade for excellent toughness and abrasion resistance.

The Para 3 is a more compact version of Spyderco's immensely popular Paramilitary 2. It features the same high-strength Compression Lock, textured G-10 scales, and a scaled-down, full-flat ground CPM-Rex 45 blade. This is another solid design from Spyderco that's sure to please those who love the PM2, but prefer shorter blades or live in areas with blade-length restrictions.

  • CPM-Rex 45 blade offers exceptional toughness and abrasion resistance.
  • Ergonomic textured G-10 handle offers heightened comfort and grip strength.
  • Four-position pocket clip and a lanyard hole provides numerous carry options.

Really Excellent Sprint Run. Home run!!

This Spyderco Para 3 Sprint is simply outstanding. The color of the Burnt Orange is muted and warm with just the right amount of texture. The fit and finish is outstanding and smooth. The grind of the blade perfect. And, best of all, the edge on this knife is literally hair whittling sharp right out of the box! That gives me a very high expectation for the performance of the new Rex 45 steel, which has a reported hardness of 66-67 RC. Amazing. With the new steel and color in the Para3 model, this one is most likely destined to become a high demand classic.

Oh no I am sad. I have waited and waited for this Rex 45 Para 3. Being loyal to Blade HQ, I held off putting a down payment down at a competitor (big mistake) and next thing I know it is sold out. Not just here but everywhere. I even pre-purchased the orange
Putman scales for this knife! I'm gonna cry myself to sleep. Worst part is I received no heads-up email and I would have never messed that up. Well maybe..it doesn't matter now.. Those bastards at Bento box are selling this knife for $299! Completely screwing their customers days after they sold out elsewhere. Spyderco should pull their name from that company. After saying that I may have to settle with the Bento Box M390 Para 3. Not settling as the steel is better. But still. My heart was set on a Rex 45 from MY go to knife store. :(...
