This Blade HQ Exclusive Spyderco Paramilitary 2 features a satin blade and a red aluminum handle.
For many people, the PM2 is just about perfect. It would be easy for Spyderco to rest on its laurels, and continue to produce this icon of the knife industry as we all know it, but that's not the Spyderco way. Blade HQ and Spyderco have teamed up to take the Para 2 to the next level, with these anodized aluminum handle scales. Not only do they add a bit of strength, but because they negate the need for full steel liners, they make the knife a little bit lighter, too. We chose CTS BD1N blade steel, a very fine-grained steel that uses nitrogen to equally spread carbides, making for an incredibly sharp edge and good toughness.
We stock many versions of the Spyderco Paramilitary 2, made in several colors with different blade and handle materials.
Please note: Because of the linerless construction of this knife, it is not compatible with many aftermarket accessories.
I bought this because I wondered what all the fuss was about, I have lots of benchmades, and I love them, so I bought this Just to see what I am missing. I love this knife, the red scales, the texture, the smooth action, the satisfying CLICK, the way it feels in the hand. its just so much fun. Its a little hard to explain but This knife is a joy. A perfect fidget tool. This benchmade guy may have to broaden his horizons.
Sold out really quick. Glad I ordered early. I couldn’t resist aluminum scales.
This is my first Paramilitary 2, When I saw these with aluminum scales, I planned on ordering one but they were sold out by the time I got home. So I made sure to order quickly this time. I received the knife the very next day, Very impressed with the knife overall. It feels light for its size. Would definitely buy it if I lost this one. in any color available.
As a knife freak, I own over 20 Spyderco knives. When the first batch dropped with orange green and purple I was lucky enough to snag the purple, looked into it a bit, and noticed another release in the “near” future with a red-handled added. I'm so glad I decided to get it. The aluminum handles are a very beautiful blood red that shimmers in the light. A little stiff with the blade flicking action but thats going to just take a tiny bit of fidget flipping it for it to be buttery. Once again bladeHQ has delivered a top quality product. Only website i buy from (well and olight)
First off this knife is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The luster and milling of these red aluminum scales are breathtaking. The blade is sharp and the action is smooth and tactile. I went to change the position of the pocket clip and found that the screws are in there really tight. I wrecked the T6 I had on hand while being ever so careful not to strip the screws or scratch the knife. I have some better tools ordered and when they arrive I'll try this again, but honestly, those screws are in there really good. Small price to pay for the thrill of owning this. The service from BladeHQ was amazing and Spyderco has another hit with this special PM2!
The scales are great, nice texture and I like the color. I was impressed for the price.
This red aluminum PM2 is a hot little number! My first PM2 and second Spyderco knife (I've had a Tenacious for a year) and it is amazing! Barely got it before selling out and it was worth the wait. The aluminum handles are very attractive and feel amazing; a bit like fingerprint velcro? Super grippy but not overly rough, however, it may create issues with the pocket as I was aware of. It has the potential as an emery board to keep my fingernails smooth? (update: My solution so far was just to remove the clip and add a lanyard with a fat red bead) Switching for a deep carry clip was paramount and I immediately swapped it out; however, the roughness is still an issue (see the note above) so I now have no clip on it. As with any PM2, this rides very well in my pocket. The blade was hair shaving sharp, but not hair whittling sharp; good enough for the kitchen. Just need a little time to break it in but I am already flicking it open with ease. The compression lock is also new to me and it is very easy to fidget with it. Have a great NKD!
made it on here just in time to snag a ‘Red’ one cannot wait to receive it. must have..
The red aluminum handle is beautiful. The knife opens quick and is light. Feels great in the hand. I added a deep carry Lych clip, and it is now perfect.
I have the original s30v paramilitary 2 and digicam, I thought the peel-ply g10 was grippy but this aluminum has a milling pattern in it that while beautiful to look at, also grips you like a file. I only wish Spyderco would have made a landing pad in the aluminum similar to their FRN models.
