Description:
The Spyderco Persistence is on the small end of the vast spectrum of Spyderco's knives. You can expect all the quality and style associated with the Spyderco name in this small offering. The Persistence has an almost chibi esthetic, with a relatively wide blade and handle without being that long. It has a four-way pocket clip, so you can carry it on your right or left side, oriented tip-up or tip-down. Some Spyderco knives carry a hefty price tag, but with a little persistence, even those with the feeblest wallets can own this wonderful folder.

Love the blade size, did add a length of cord to help with handle size. This is my favorite form factor knife as it is not only budget friendly if I lose it but holds true to Spyderco quality. That being said a longer blade tends to flick open better, this one does still deploy but there are occasions where I fail to fully open.
This knife has been in my edc rotation for almost 3 years now, and i love it. Its a perfect size, and not too heavy but with enough weight to still have a very solid feel. the FFG blade slices very well, and the gentle curve of the edge makes long sweeping cuts easy. Spyderco apparently knows how to heat treat because they turn a cheap 8CR13MOV into something worth more. I love the knife.
Its light, quality made, easy to use, and a great way to get started on Spyderco knives. It's inexpensive enough to make a great gift or beater knife, and it's small enough size to not stand out too much in public places. It's not trying to be some sort of high-end super knife, it knows exactly what it is and it's good at it. Highly recommend.
I couldn’t be happier with my Persistence. The blade holds a great edge, the G10 handles have plenty of grip, and the liner lock is rock solid. Great knife for a great price.
This smaller size knife still feel good in hand, has very decent steel which holds and edge well and it is extremely utilitarian. A no frills, just get the job done knife for a very reasonable price.
I love this knife, been carrying it for a few yrs now. My most favorite part of it, is that it can be carried left or right handed, and I am left handed. Easy to open and close with one hand. Gonna get the para 3 real soon in camo
This knife is a perfect balance of small and stout. The 8cr steel gets razor sharp really easily, and the full flat grind means it'll effortlessly slide through whatever you're cutting. Got the scar to prove it.
All I ask for is not getting a dud and I didn’t I’m happy with the knife. I knew before buying it doesn’t have the best ergos but everything else is tip top as usual from SPyderco
I really didn’t like Byrd knives because I really dislike the deployment hole. I think Spyderco really knocked it out of the park when they started making value knives under the Spyderco name rather than under the Byrd brand name. This knife is a great value knife! Need a beater knife but want something visually similar to other Spyderco knives? This knife has you covered. The Persistence fits the small size in this line of knives (it’s siblings being the Resilience, Tenacious, and Ambitious). Build quality: 4 stars Materials: 3 stars Aesthetics: 3 stars Personal likability: 4 stars
This was my first spyderco. I carried it for months till I got a delica, but the persistence is a fantastic entry level spyderco that is small and lightweight. You can’t go wrong with this knife! At 40 bucks it’s a great value!
I love this knife! It feels great in my hand, came razor sharp with a really solid lock up. This is one of my go-to EDC knives because of the ergonomics, size and all around quality of this knife!
This knife is easily my favorite folder, it perfectly fits my hand, very capable blade size. Sharpens easily and stays sharp for a while even through some rough handling. Fit and finish on this knife places it apart from other similarly priced knives, you just know you are holding a well made product. The Persistence is my EDC and backup camping knife, it excels at all tasks I threw at it over the last year or so, never failed me
The Persistence is a great entry level Spyderco folder. I was worried the Tenacious would be too big, so I chose the Persistence. Looking back, I would prefer the Tenacious which I now know isn't too big. The persistence is still a great knife however. It's easy to maintain, reliable, and most importantly, cuts well! Though part of the budget line and lacking some of the more premium materials of other Spydercos, the knife is built extremely well. Overall, it's a great buy!
Nothing crazy over the top on this. Basically everything is ok. Action is alright on the washers, blade steel is ok, fit and finish are ok, and the ergonomics aren’t spydercos best, but not their worst either.
I received this blade as a wedding gift a few years ago. This blade cuts extremely well and the knife overall carries well and handles the daily tasks.
This blade started my spyderco collection. Can't beat the price only issue I had was some blade play
