The 8Cr13Mov stainless blade is ground flat from spine to cutting edge for cutting performance. The blade’s shape coupled with an over sized Spyderco Round Hole and textured spine jimping allow you to open the blade and position your thumb on the spine in slip-proof confidence ready for work. That old guy in Cliff Hanger, you know the movie with Stallone, he carried a fully serrated Endura and it was used throughout the film. I can't afford an Endura, but this knife here scratches that itch. First off, it surprised me how large this knife was. The blade and handle look and feel great. The serrations are shaving sharp, the ball detent keeps the blade closed and there is a nice snap when locking open. Nice, smooth action. Big enough blade for serious cutting, the serious edge for the same. I'm not rescuing stranded climbers, but this knife does everything I need it to so far.
