Description

Jesper Voxnaes is a bona fide master of the EDC knife. His designs are world renowned for their clean aesthetic, comfortable ergonomics, and utility. Blade HQ has partnered with Jesper and Fox Knives of Italy to bring you The Dapper Collection with two new variations!

Features:
  • Lanny-inspired, traditional clip point that is perfect in size and shape for everyday carry.
  • Contoured, green micarta handle scales and a brass backspacer.
  • Stonewashed, M390 blade maximizes utility.
  • Reversible, tip-up wire pocket clip for secure and discreet carry.

Description:

The Dapper is the perfect size for EDC. It has a reversible, deep-carry, wire pocket clip, and is small and slim in the pocket. When in use, the contoured handle fills the hand comfortably, and the middle finger falls perfectly into the finger groove. The knife opens smoothly with a flipper, and the flipper tab conceals itself in the handle when open. The Dapper has a snappy lock that is addictive when opening and closing. This blade design has a sweeping belly, and a gentle clip point shape with a crowned spine.

Been waiting on this knife to drop since I missed out on the first run. I couldnít believe it when it dropped on my bday. I was so excited for it I bought two and love them.
Perfect #2 knife for me. LynchNW clip fits perfectly!

I have been hunting for years for knives that fit my requirements. I was looking for one that was under 2.5 inches of blade length for carry when in nearby Washington D.C.

Normally I carry a Spyderco Sage 5 LW. Pretty much the perfect 3-inch knife for me. I kept circling back to it. Until yesterday, it was my every day. I've been slowly selling it's predecessors. The only other 3 inch that stays in the rotation is the Benchmade Valet in Gray G10. It's my dress knife.

I was eyeing a compression lock 'Lil Native (2.5 inch blade). I handled one recently. It just doesn't work for me. This does.

Positives:
Just slim enough
Blade rockets out.
Deep carry clip
< 2.5 in. Blade.
Light
Can barely get all of my fingers on it.
Stone wash is very nice. (As good as the Hinderer XM-18 stonewash!)
Fit and finish
Love the backspacer.
LynchNW Spyderco Standard Wire Clip Replacement fits it perfectly!

Negatives:
Grind. Super sharp, but visually looks rough. It isn't at the quality level it should be for this price point. It needed to be stropped, to clean up the grind marks.

Vox has quickly become my favorite knife designer because of his ability to come up with useful, good-looking designs that seem to have the best ergos. This is a small knife - but like his other designs, this one feels bigger than it is. Fit and finish are excellent - no issues.

Action is very smooth - Iíve never had a ceramic ball detent before.
Disappointing Execution

I was excited for this to drop again but although the materials are great the execution is subpar for the price. The sharpness and grind is ok (slightly uneven but not terrible) and you can see where the sharpening wheel hit the choil leaving a rough patch. The lock face on the blade is also unfinished and rough, can't feel it on the action but it is ugly. Detent is very weak, the blade deploys perfectly but is easily shaken open. What concerns me most is the discoloration on the blade (caused from what I assume is heat) under the flipper when looking straight down from above with the knife closed. It looks like a bandsaw cut too deep and fast and is very disappointing of a knife of this price.
A top contender for best knife I've ever handled

I can't even find the words to describe how much I enjoy this knife. It's just the right size for my medium size hands, the micarta has a great feel with a decent amount of grip and not at all slippery.

With working from home currently, I don't carry a knife on me like usual, but I can't not carry this Dapper. It finds its way into my sweatpants and I don't even notice it's there with its light weight.

I think my favorite part of this knife is the blade shape, it's utilitarian and fits all of my needs and it's just damn good to look at.

I can't wait for these to be back in stock so I can get them for gifts for people. Everyone needs a BladeHQ Vox Dapper in their edc.

Great ergos, good size, and great materials. Vox, once again, nails another great design!

I gave this knife five stars for a reason. Since I purchased this knife, I haven't put it down. It feels great, the action is amazing, detent is perfect and the blade shape is beautiful.

I fell in love with this knife the moment I put it in my hands.

There's one small issue, a few people who have purchased this knife have experienced lock failure (where the liner lock and the blade don't engage, which leads to the blade being able to move when open). This seems to be due to the liner having too much material so it can't slide over to engage the blade. This can be easily fixed if you feel comfortable making a slight modification.

Dismantle the knife until you can access the liner lock. With a file or Dremel, polish the part of the lock that makes contact with the blade and then polish the part of the blade that makes contact with the liner ó then reassemble. This should resolve the issue. If the issue continues, polish down the liner a bit more. If the issue continues... do it again. After a few attempts, the lock will engage and you'll have one amazing knife!

I know some of you will say this is unacceptable and gripe to the folks who made the Dapper, but before you do, think of what this is. It's the best knife designer in the world, teaming up with some of the most devoted knife enthusiasts on the planet to make something truly incredible. Give credit where credit is due.

This thing is amazing, built by the best and will quickly be recognized as one of the best EDC knives out there.

I really like the small form factor, the material choices, and the blade shape. Big fan of the design choices. On the down side the one I got had super early lock up, but seems to be secure.
