I use this as an all around Keychain poker/prying device, hole puncher, etc.. Best item ever for ten bucks. Looks too pointy for a toothpick, but functions perfectly. Wish I could buy 6 more! Always keep it handy.
Nice all around little package.
I like it. I did tack the plain finish one onto my first ever BladeHQ order. No more finding and straightening paperclips! This guy is great for those tiny recessed reset switches. Also Impaling an hors d'oeuvre, picking at and under fingernails, splinters, teeth... Although, washing/sterilizing it between such uses is a good idea, lol. It's so light I don't even know it's on my keychain until I need a small semi-sharp stick. Yeah, it is sharp...But not like a hypodermic needle or anything. PS: A buddy of mine joked about the O-ring and poison. Not that I'd ever do that, but it was a funny conversation.
Use it everyday. Very handy and indecreet.
Had this in my wishlist for a while and added it to my recent order. It's now on my belt with my key fob. The point is extremely sharp. It will get banged up so I'm not too concerned about the anodizing not lasting. The pick part can be screwed into the base both ways so it is held securely with the pick exposed or hidden. A small O ring should keep water out of the base when the pick is not exposed. Overall for $10 it is well worth the money.
Warned by my dentist that this can be very bad for your teeth and gums. Works well when you have nothing else though. used it once on a tiny reset switch and the tip bent
You can read the other reviews about how you shouldn't use this on your teeth. I want to talk about how nice it is to have on a keychain. I see it as more of an awl or some other type of tool than a key chain. I can poke around in small spaces or move tiny items with it easily. Thing won't go near my teeth but that doesn't mean I wont use the hell out of it.
I bought this tiny thing and when it arrived I fell in love with it! I have really crooked teeth and this thing is pointy enough to get into then tight spots between your teeth, but be careful, or you'll stab your gums. WARNING!!!: The tip, being so thin, bends VERY EASILY, so be very very careful
Looks good, works well. Two problems. This will scratch the enamel off your teeth if you use it too much. Also, do not pick near gums. I got a bacterial infection from doing this. This is great for using in a pinch when nothing else is available, but don't use regularly, or exclusively. Isopropyl Alcohol will adequately disinfect (before each use).
It's perfect key chain tool and weighs nothing. But the toothpick itself is soft, very easy to bend. I have to re-heat it with a lighter and quench it to get the hardness I want. The blue anodizing wears completely off after 3 months of use.
