This Kitefin has a blue grooved titanium handle.
The WE Knife Co. Kitefin may just be one of the best EDC knives ever made. It's got a slim and slicy CPM-S35VN blade, with a spear point profile that lends itself well to piercing tasks. The handle accommodates several grips, including choking up on the blade using the integrated finger choil.
Features:I've wanted this knife ever since I saw Nick Shabazz review it on YouTube. By the time I got into knives and saw this review, these were sold out. A shipment of Kitefins came in, but they had the gold, silver, or copper metal-flake and shredded carbon fiber. I ordered one of those, but it just didn't do it for me. Plus, that version had a weird finish on the blade that didn't appeal to me (bead-blasted with horizontal striations). So, when this model came in, I bit the bullet and ordered one. It is fantastic! The plain bead-blast finish is smooth and beautiful. The black titanium on both sides is very classy (whereas I felt the shredded carbon fiber/copper flake seemed cheap to me). I even liked the clip better with the chamfered-out holes. This knife is soooo slicey! This is a knife that I plan on carrying a lot!
Awesome Flipper, upon arrival I must admit, I felt it to be a We bit small LOL.. but I'm also new to the whole titanium frame deal, in addition to a frame lock. This thing Rocks, period!!! Snappy action, and sounds like a pair of barber sheers closing on the retraction. Super light in the pocket, with an awesome Ti clip. I wanted the blue circle milled version but ended up snagging this one, & I'm very glad I did, the handle groove glows with the slightest hint of light, basically, in a low lit room the handle appears to have a tritium type of feel, can only imaging how the orange handle must beam even harder!!
This knife is great, it's light weight, super slicey and carries like a dream. I really like the blue strip and the gold accents, they are subtle but look very nice. This is an amazing knife and I'm genuinely impressed with how high a quality knife this is for the price. The only caveat I have is with the action and it's a bit of a nitpick. The action on the knife is really great if deployed right, if the detent on mine was just a little stronger then it would be absolutely perfect. The action is very snappy if I'm deliberate but it is possible to not fully deploy the blade if I forget to put a little more force than necessary to strictly surpass the detent.
