The WE Knife Co. Practic is a simple EDC folding knife that impresses with premium materials and an affordable price point. This model sports a black G-10 handle with blue finished liners and hardware. Its satin finished blade is made from resilient Bohler M390 stainless steel, and deploys with ease on a smooth ceramic ball bearing pivot. The Practic includes a machined titanium pocket clip for secure daily carry.
Features:Amazing knife, especially for the price. Smooth action, came centered and sharp. Detent is nice but not to stiff. Drops shut and deploys every time. Super comfortable in hand bare or gloved. Has become my EDC workhorse. Its taken all the abuse i have thrown at it.
The Practic is just an all around great knife for EDC. Fit and finish is amazing, and the action is as smooth as any of my other knives. Getting an M390 blade at this price point is just too good to not take the plunge. I switched the clip for left handed carry, and it is currently my choice for EDC. As the review below by Steve V. says, it changed my view on liner locks as well. Light, screaming sharp, premium steel, impeccable fit/finish, and smooth as glass action...I may have to grab a tan one also!
An incredibly well thought out, designed and produced knife. Changes my viewpoint on liner locks! I’m not sure you can improve any aspect of this knife. 10-30-18 Michael P. Writes it best, I agree with his review.
I have a feeling that the longer time goes on, the more people will appreciate this knife. Mine came screaming razor sharp with even grind and bevel. Perfect centering and all other fit and finish factors are flawless. The best anology I can give this knife is a Kershaw Skyline that has just the right amount of heft to make it perfect and a ball bearing swivel which makes it a much better performer. Add to that, zero blade play, about 1 hour to break in the swivel and M390 steel for under 150 and you've got a basically perfect EDC. I bought a ZT 0450 a week ago and returned it for this knife. Boy am I glad I did. This thing is perfect for me and I wouldn't have it any other way.
They make a great product and this knife is no exception. Great edge, great alignment, perfect fit and finish. 10/10 would buy again
I picked up the knife a few months back and it’s my EDC. Great size, awesome snappy action, and a comfortable feel. I use it daily and it has retained its blade well. My only flaw is the pocket clip is on the small side. I don’t think you can find a better knife at this price point with M390 steel!
I have been curious about WE for awhile now, and finally pulled the trigger on the Practic. I love this knife. I was looking for something a little more pocket friendly than a pm2 and a good slicer. The high hollow grind really cuts well. Blade play is nonexistent. The lockup looks to be very early on mine, however there have been no signs of it wanting to close unintentionally (even with spine taps). Really impressed with this knife, I barely carry any of my other folders at this point. If I lost it, I would immediately buy another one.
Purchased this pretty much to try out M390. Not disappointed with my purchase. Action is a little stiff out of the box but broke in nicely. Blade shape and grind are perfect for my needs. Was concerned lock up was not too positive but after reading some reviews and using the knife zero concerns at this point. Over all very happy with my purchase and would make it again.
Got this and the Zeta and they are both very high quality. This is more of a perfect EDC to complement the Zeta. Love the size and feel of this one and the price is right for what you get. Would recommend it.
This isn't a safe queen but gives you safe queen steel and feel. Mine doesn't have any flaws in it, perfectly centered, smooth action, flawless fit and finish and tuned in detent right outta the box. And it's ground to actually cut stuff, an increasing rarity amongst so many over built folders, a nice .02 behind the edge measurement. My first WE but won't be my last.
Edge shape, overall blade shape, choil works for delicate choke up, blade thickness, thickness behind the edge, half inch thick grip, hollow grind, framelock, universal grip g10, milled ambidextrous deep-ish titanium clip, titanium t-8 all around, attractively colored hardware, medium detent, 45% lockup, smooth bearing tracks on the blade, minimalist m390 branding is all you'll find on the blade-- I just can't make it sound good enough, it's more than anyone should expect for the price. You might luke a harder or softer detent but that's, like, your opinion man. You might want them to allow a full choked up grip but this isn't the Cutjack and it offers more edge instead. If I had to change anything I would ask for a slightly more substantial stop pin, doesn't look like I could use it to tow a trailer and that would match the rest of the knife better.
First of all this knife came in perfect shape. No blade play, perfect centering, great action, and sharp as hell. It went right in my pocket. It is a great size to tackle any job I would need, and non-threatening to any non knife user. I think the blue liners look great with black G10. This is my first WE knife. I hope they continue to make more budget friendly options. Normally they are out of my price comfort zone. That's why I was so happy they made the Practic. M390 is as good as it gets, and for this price I could not be happier. Great service from BladeHQ as always. Thanks again
This for not being a titanium frame, which is my preferred type to dress with. This knife and the bestech line has changed that way of thinking. Details such as blue liners, hardware, m390 blade steel over all weights, I just love my new WE knive Bhq is the place to shop, love you guys,my wife always knows when I got the chance to get a heirloom piece. First rate all around. Thanks for everything
I bought this knife because of the plain black G-10 handle and subtle blue features. It hasn't got any obnoxious logo's on the blade, just a very very tiny m390 that you have to look for to find it. The blade deploys solidly + smoothly with a satisfying click to let you know it's at full attention and has a drop shut action. The jimping on the flipper is nice and catchy. Edge was razor sharp out of the box. The jimping on the back of the knife blade is more solid than refined. Fit's my M/L glove sized hands perfectly and the clip is reversible and being as thin as it is, doesn't create a hot spot. Overall a solid, subtle EDC with good looks, if that's important to you. It was for me, that's why I bought it. Slam dunk for WE and ME.
This was my first WE and is one of my favorite knives. I especially like the hollow grind on the M390, and the feel of the knife in hand. I'm not a big fan of the clip, but the hardware and construction are quite nice.
