Zero Tolerance and Emerson Knives put their hard-use heads together to create two new ZT knives. This is one of them. The famous Emerson wave shaped opening feature is designed so that as you withdraw the knife, the wave feature catches the edge of your pocket and snaps the blade open. Once withdrawn, it's fully ready for use. The blade is a modified tanto style that locks securely into place with a frame lock that utilizes a hardened steel insert. A carbon fiber front scale gives this tough knife a touch of class.

This is my first Wave system and now Im a big of my heavier EDCs but it works great!!
Beautiful Brute

The collaboration between ZT and Emerson has resulted in a fantastic knife! The knife arrived with a super sharp edge and looks fantastic with the partially polished blade and CF. The wave works great and is easy to master. Action and blade centering are both perfect. Now is my go to EDC, but I should have purchased two! Great assistance, as usual, from BHQ customer service! Im a happy man!
Great knife

I'd buy another one if I didn't already own 2. It is tough as nails and a great EDC. I know this isn't recommended, but I practiced pulling it from my pocket and throwing it into a tree until I could stick it 9 out of 10 times. It is STILL solid!! I have S35v drop point and and Elmax Tanto.
Great design poor execution.

This knife opens awesome looks awesome and feels great. Unfortunately KAI still hasn't been able to get it right after three trips back to their warranty department. I don't use this knife hard and it more or less stay sharp and ready for self-defense if need be. This is why I can't just wrap my mind around why I get vertical blade play after only four months. It has been back to their service department multiple times and still has the same issue. It's either poor blade tang geometry, soft steel lock bar insert or something is wrong with their heat treat. I am very dissatisfied and now they have discontinued it and I will not be able to get a replacement.
My go to edc knife

Hands down my favorite knife Ive ever owned. Its built like a tank and super smooth. The carbon fiber scales look so nice. And the blade shape is awesome. There is nothing bad to say about this knife after almost a year of carrying it.
Good But Could Be Better

This platform does have potential it just needs some work.

The Good:
- CTS-204P you can't you wrong with it
- The Carbon Fiber ZT uses has no voids; no complaints.
- The washers are smooth but not drop shut.
- A Steel Lockbar Insert nothing to complain about there.

The Bad:
- Since the blade stock is so thick and being paired with a Sabre Grind it makes an edge close to 0.040 thousands of an inch thick...
- The finger choil isn't wide enough. When flipping the knife open by pressing on the disk and flipping up, your thumb will be bruised by the edge of the choil.
- The weight does need to be saved down a little. Some internal milling on the locking frame would've helped.
- ZT could harden their screws some more so that they don't stripped after being installed over torqued with thread locker.

I have a zt0630cf which I adore and when I saw the price for the zt0620cf I had to jump. I was hesitant at first cuz I'm not really keen on Tanto blades, but when I got this one I realized it was different and the way they do their edge gives this beauty some belly near the tip while giving the straight away a Razors Edge tantos or known for. I think this blade is shape is reminiscent of a samurai sword mixed with a drop point. The result is fantastic. The carbon fiber on this model is more dramatic then in the other model but still remains smooth and comfortable. I like the detent on this model better because it is super smooth enabling you to open the blade in numerous ways with just a flick of anything finger on the hand. I truly fun blade that is built like a tank but maintains and elegance that is truly admirable. A perfect addition to anyone's collection.

Great combination of Emerson design with ZT build qualities. Super strong, great blade, weight and feel of knife better than any of the four Emerson's I already have. Can't go wrong with this one!
