This Combat Utility Basic knife features a clay hardened W2 steel wharncliffe style blade with a thumb stud opener on front and stamped "Burr Oak Nevling" on back. The handle sports carbon fiber bolsters and brown burlap Micarta scales over titanium liners, with lock tab. This knife comes with a signed certificate of authenticity, dated 4/8/14.

Mark Nevling, the craftsman and creator of Burr Oak Knives, discovered his enthusiasm for knife-making in 1987 when he created his first knife. He has continued in perfecting his work since that time, now as a full-time maker with a skill set that is evidenced in the exemplary knives he produces. Mark Nevling is also a volunteer firefighter and a certified first responder in Hume, Illinois; this gives him working knowledge of the particular needs of these professionals.
