The SOG Trident (TF-6) has a satin finished Tanto blade with a plain cutting edge. The handle is black glass reinforced nylon (GRN).

The Trident knife features a patent pending Groove¢ in the handle, which allows the operator to cut paracord, fishing line, etc. without having to open the blade or risk puncturing anything in the process. The handle also includes a Digi-Grip¢ variable pattern for coarser grip and notches along the edges in areas that require it. The bayonet style clip is easily switched for right/left hand carry or removed for pouch storage.

SOG's Trident series uses the SOG Assisted Technology (S.A.T.) to quickly propel the blade open with a push of the thumb stud. SOG's patent pending Arc-Actuator helps the Trident to lock up stronger and release easier. On the face of the handle is a built-in safety to lock the blade closed.
