Description

Description

The Jens Ansų designed Haddock Folder is a relative newcomer to the Boker lineup, but it has become an instant hit. This 145th Anniversary Edition Haddock features Boker's special Grenadill wood scales with an exquisite sterling silver emblem showing the years 1869-2014. The blade is high polished and carries a unique laser engraved 145 year anniversary logo. This knife is part of a serial numbered run of just 145 knives!

Goldman Sachs, H.J. Heinz, and Welch's Juice Company were all also founded in 1869. Ulysses S Grant was inaugurated as president, the Golden Spike was driven at Promontory Point, Utah connecting the railways from East to West, Charles Hires sold his first root beer, and a little cutlery company under the direction of Heinrich Boker began its operations in Germany that would turn out to be an internationally known brand, maintaining a solid reputation of producing quality cutlery. Simply stated, 145 years is quite an accomplishment which few can hang their hats on.

Got this today off my wish list. Great feel and very well built. Everything you would expect from a German built product. I got #50. It was a gift and I am so glad to have gotten it.
