The Handle Inversion Tool H.I.T. series of knives feature a pivoting blade guard that creates the bottom of the handle during use. The patent pending mechanism itself is called the DPx Centric. To release the blade guard, press the thumb stud straight forward and rotate towards the back of the knife.
