It All Started With a Kernel of an Idea

It was 2023. The knife community had already seen its fair share of joke-turned-reality blades—from the pink and sprinkly typo-turned Dessert Warrior Knife to the hotdog-themed Wiener Warrior Knife from our 2022 Warrior Buffet April Fool’s joke.
While working on the Wiener’s campaign, our graphic designer had yet another ridiculous idea: a corn-themed Kalashnikov. And the timing couldn’t be more perfect with the rise of a kid whose love of corn took the internet by storm.

So, he mocked it up, sent it to our social media manager, and we threw it on Instagram for a laugh. But instead of chuckling, the community did what they do best—they begged we make it a reality!
From Meme to Reality

We called up Boker, and they were all in. A few months later, we had the first prototype. The handle? Easy—green with yellow accents. Like a husk peeled back to reveal golden kernels. But the blade? That had to be something special.

We wanted a corn print, but more importantly, we wanted the edge to match the theme. Most serrated knives have sharp, pointed serrations. But some knives use a different kind—scalloped serrations, which are rounded and cleaner-cutting. And you know what? They also happen to look like corn kernels.
And so, the KalashniCob was born—the first switchblade (that we’ve ever seen) with scalloped serrations. Ready to roll in butter and serve.
Why We Make Ridiculous Knives

Some people just don’t get it. They say, "That Microtech Giant Halo is impractical." "That zombie-themed knife is so mall ninja." "Another donut knife? Seriously?"
But that’s the beauty of this community. Nobody ever made a three-foot out-the-front, a green and red splattered zombie sword, or a Dessert Warrior because they’re the next breakthrough in knife tech. We make them because they make people smile.
The KalashniCob isn’t just a knife. It’s a love letter from Blade HQ to you.
