About Chaves Knives

Ramon Chavez began designing and making custom knives in the late 2000's. His work caught the attention of the knife community and Ramon faced a dilemma that is common to a rare few makers: How do I supply the volume of knives to satisfy customer demand? So, he reached out to an OEM (manufacturer) that could do his designs justice with regard to materials, fit and finish. The result has been a boon for the knife community and collectors alike, and Ramon's heavy-duty knives have seen widespread success. 

In 2024, Chaves Knives created the Blue Label, Red Label, and their limited edition Black Label series. The Blue Label Series is complete with the same excellent build you've come to expect from Chaves, but with a lower price tag that makes these knives much more accessible. The Red Label knife line is distinct with its titanium construction, which has been a staple of Ramon's folding knives over the years, but this line was also upgraded in late 2024 from slab to full integral construction!
