About Knives of Alaska

Established in 1992 by Alaskan outdoor guide Charles Allen and his wife Jody, Knives of Alaska was built with a singular purpose: to create knives tough enough to endure the unforgiving wilderness of the Alaskan frontier. With decades of field experience guiding hunts through rugged terrain and extreme conditions, Charles knew what a serious outdoorsman needed in a knife—reliability, strength, and performance when it matters most.

In a move that blends history with innovation, Knives of Alaska proudly manufactures its blades in a repurposed WWII parachute factory in Denison, Texas. This heritage facility serves as the backbone of production, where American craftsmanship meets time-tested materials to create tools that stand up to the wild—whether you're tracking game in the backcountry or carving a path through untamed terrain.

Each knife is field-tested under the extreme conditions of the Alaskan wilderness, proving its worth before it earns the Knives of Alaska name. Built to be solid, dependable, and unflinchingly reliable, these blades are trusted by guides, hunters, and outdoorsmen who don’t have time for failure.
