TRM Knives—short for Three Rivers Manufacturing—is the result of a genuine American success story rooted in craftsmanship, persistence, and a passion for quality. The journey began in 1997, when Les and Marianne Halpern started Custom Knife Supply from their kitchen, providing materials and components to custom knife makers across the country. As their expertise and reputation grew, they expanded into precision manufacturing and founded Halpern Titanium, a company dedicated to producing high-quality knife parts for some of the industry’s leading brands. In 2014, their vision evolved once more with the creation of Three Rivers Manufacturing (TRM)—a brand built to design and produce knives entirely in the USA, from start to finish.
