The AKC F-16 is an EDC-friendly, modern take on the classic stiletto. It is an automatic knife with double action, meaning that, by moving the thumb slide up and down, the blade automatically deploys and retracts. This makes it both easy to use with one hand and super fun to fidget with. It takes stylistic queues from the classic switchblade, but has more simplified shapes for a contemporary aesthetic. In short, this snappy OTF knife makes the impressive jet it was named after proud, and youll know just what we mean when you get your hands on one.

This is my first OTF knife, I’ve used many over the last several decades, but they always felt wobbly so I wouldn’t buy one. Well recently the spring in my Benchmade 3550 broke, and I couldn’t find a knife I liked to carry while I waited to have it fixed since Benchmade won’t just let me buy a spring and replace it myself. I got this knife and may not go back to the Benchmade! The wobble I’ve always associated with OTF knives isn’t there. This knife feels sturdy. I also like that a simple flick of the wrist will reset the knife if it doesn’t completely open, normally I’ve had to pull the blade up to reset OTF knives. The wood on black makes for an attractive knife, and the blade is razor sharp out of the box, shave hair sharp! This is a very nice knife, and for $60 I don’t think you can beat it, AKC has a long term customer, and so does Blade HQ, shipping was FAST, and I’m very pleased!
Admittedly, I just got this knife yesterday, but I'm actually pretty impressed. OTF knives are usually either really pricey or somewhat junky. This is neither of those things. The action has a really nice snap, both out and back in, there is very little blade play when deployed, and I easily shaved a bald spot on my forearm with it, straight out of the box. I'm really happy with this purchase. Not sure what else I can say about it. If you're on the fence, trying to decide whether or not to buy one... go for it. You won't regret it.
I am a knife collector, maybe a knifeaholic. This is one of the best values I have seen. Very stable blade and the push button is such that an accidental opening would be nearly impossible. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the wood insert was not attached when I received the knife, but some super glue gel solved that issue. Go ahead and buy one, you wont be sorry.
