The Adler Canoe Axe is a compact axe with a 1.35 lb head. It's designed to be an all-purpose hatchet for the pack or to use at home. Features a hickory handle with a black anti-slip coating on the handle.

While relatively new to the American market, Adler axes have been made in Germany since 1919 when village blacksmith Josef Schmitt set out to make high quality steel products with great heat treats, and has since grown. Now, the company is run by his descendants, who still strive to make great axes with environmental sustainability in mind.
