An exclusive design by Blackie Collins for Paragon/Asheville Steel's new custom line of knives. This knife features single-handed opening via the oval shaped thumb groove, a drop point, AUS-8 stainless steel blade with satin finish, and beautifully polished cocobolo handle scales that are both attractive and comfortable in the hand. This knife is manufactured in Seki, Japan and is made to exacting standards of quality and design. This knife is an exquisite example of craftsmanship and skill.
I have the luck of owning a copy of the limited first edition runs of these knives. Mine, like this one, is in Cocobolo scales, but is laser marked as a first edition Paragon. Stated, this knife is an excellent folder and represents one of Blackie Collin's best designs. These knives are no longer in stock with the maker, Asheville Steel/Paragon. Once these knives are gone off Blade HQ, then they are gone for good. I wanted to get get one of these knives in Black Micarta, but was told that it was sold out, never to be made again. Don't miss out on this one. It's one of Blackie's best.
Great design and beautiful blade shape. Too much blade play in locked position for my liking.
