The 710D2 is yet another great collaboration from Benchmade and McHenry & Williams. It is Benchmade's first folder to utilize the AXIS lock. Reminiscent of the Benchmade 707 Sequel the 710 provides a larger frame and more cutting power. The D2 steel reverse curve blade is practical and stylish. The G-10 scales over the 410 stainless steel frame is both lightweight and sturdy and its texture provides excellent grip. The 710 has a reversible (tip-up) pocket clip for easy carry.

My very first quality knife
Richard G.
What's intriguing about this knife is even though it is long, it is slender. The blade is long enough for many heavy duty tasks but not intrusive in the pocket. Definitely not as smooth an opening as other Benchmades because of the blade length but still much smoother than other production knives.

A Benchmade Classic

This is my first benchmade and it lives up to the hype. The blade is great just, sharp and the perfect shape for an edc. The g10 handles leave a little to be desired, but look great.
The Blade I've Been Looking For
Gary L.
I have a number of quality knives from Benchmade, ZT, Lionsteel, Fantoni, etc, but this is the blade I've been looking for... I don't know why I didn't get one years ago. Finally a knife that can be carried comfortably all day in dress slacks yet it's big enough to do business in a self defense situation. With the deep carry clip it stays safely concealed.

This 710 came razor sharp out of the box, the blade was beveled perfectly. I spent all evening boxing some items for shipping, cutting lots of heavy cardboard expecting the D2 blade to need a touch up this morning, it's still hair popping sharp!! I am more than satisfied.

Thanks Blade HQ!
Lives up to it reputation

I've had this knife for a week and wish I pulled the trigger on it years ago. It took 3 days of breaking in and now the knife is great. Fills the hand, the g-10 is a bit rough, but that's what I want. Been on my pocket since I opened the box.
Best fixed blade

I got his knife 2 weeks ago, came is a new Benchmade box. The knife size is pretty handful. When flipped open the length of the blade is adequate for all types of jobs. The blade steel is well known D2 steel which has reputation to take sharp edge and hold it for very long. The slicing ability of mild recurve belly is way outstanding. The high grind gives a very steep angle of 17 degree each side which is good for everyday cutting. The knife can also act as formidable self defence tool in extreme cases. Only downside I see is handle material which is G10 and seems slippery though finger grooves and rough patterns are made on it. If a thin layer of rubber is put on handle then it may be outstanding knife out there. This knife has won Knife of the year award perhaps in 1998, so basically a awesome trusted tool. The knife is moderately priced. Overall: FULLY SATISFIED
