Smaller than the original, the 765 Mini Ti Monolock sports all the same precision machine work and attitude. The titanium handle and pocket clip have a sandblasted and oiled finish. A premium M390 steel modified drop point blade rides on thrust bearing washers for super smooth performance. This knife has open built construction with stainless steel barrel spacers.
The 765 has a satin finished blade with a plain cutting edge.
Just received knife today. Initial impressions are great. Fit and finish are near perfect. No blad play and centering is almost perfect (only off by about .5mm.) Stiff initial opening but should smooth out with use. Blade is the sharpest benchmade I have ever bought, maybe one of the sharpest knives I have bought out of the box. Feel in hand is let down by very sharp end on frame just in front of lockbar. Its sharp enough to cut into skin if gripped tightly and will grab and scratch a finger nail. The knife apears to try and compete with a Chris Reeve and its almost there. My small Inkosi is just that step above it. If thats a 10 then this knife is a solid 8. Chamfer and smooth out that sharp edge to bump it up to a 9 maybe.
Love my 765! Deployment is so smooth and fast, I’ve had friends think it was spring assisted when they tried it. Lockup is tight and the bearings make the M390 blade so smooth. Seriously one of my favorite knives to hold while I’m around the house or watching TV. Perfect EDC size, ruggedly built, quality and attention to detail; all in a really classy “gentleman’s folder” package. Pocket clip is TIGHT. You could crash a rollercoaster into a hurricane and they would find this knife still clipped to your pocket.
Fuk, I wrote a every long review about this knife, but the website logged me out automatically so my whole text is gone. I am so sad and frustrated now, but I still recommend you to have this knife. :(
Bought this knife about a month ago and it’s a great EDC. It was a little stiff when I first got it, almost impossible to flip it open without full concentration. But now it’s been broken in a bit and it has the best action of any knife I own. The sound it makes when it opens and closes alone is worth buying. It pretty much made me stop carrying my 940 and 781. Those are both great knives that I carry regularly but I find myself grabbing this one on the way out the door a lot more than any other. I don’t know if I’ll ever like another knife as much as I like this one. Razor sharp, great steel, great looking, light, and big enough for most everything but not going to fill your whole pocket.
