Amazing knife!!!

I’ve not been flipping terribly long, but I have been training hard every day with my Keyshawn Luchas. I have the trainer, the standard, and the black wash. I’ve upgraded the bearings to the flytanium ceramic on all of them, and upgraded to the flytanium titanium handles on the standard. The trainer and black wash are a little heavier and not as balanced as I would like, and the standard one with the titanium scales is a little lighter than I would like. I decided to give another brand a try and get something a little higher end. Due to the lack of availability on everything I was seeing recommended, it took a while to settle on this one, which was a little higher priced than I was hoping to go. In the end, I’m extremely happy that this is what I wound up with. Right from the factory, the Benchmade is absolutely flawless. It is near silent, flips smooth as butter, is extremely easy to grip and maneuver, balanced perfectly, and is built solid enough for actual daily knife use! The weight feels to me like a compromise between my too heavy standard Lucha, and my too light titanium-scaled Lucha. The magnetic lock is also completely unobtrusive and functional and never gets in the way. I love this knife!!!

PERFECT

I’m recovering from major surgery. There are only a few things I can do for exercise. So I ordered a trainer balisong. After two months of flipping. I ordered this. Can you tell the difference between a trainer and a FULL RACE BALISONG? YES YOU CAN! So smooth. And I mean SMOOTH! Out of the box it’s ready to rock. NO adjustments. NO lube. It’s perfect! Thank you people ! Jeff C.

nice knife but...
Kaden K. on Apr 16, 2023

Nice knife but started getting surface rust after only 1 day of carrying it. Didn't get wet or see any use other than flipping.

Blade HQ response:
Dear Kaden, If rust is an issue so early on please contact us since we have a hassle-free 90 day return policy to access a full refund.
expected better from benchmade
Michael L. on Nov 28, 2022

Materials are high quality. Weight is good and doesnt feel heavy like others claim it to be. I flipped it repeatedly for the first 24 hours I had it. Flips nicely and feels good in the hand. The ringing sound you get is from the safety lock impacting the safe handle during manipulation. After the abuse I gave it in those 24 hrs the knife has tap from both handles and the safety lock has weakened toward the locked position and moves easily. Loctite everything and let it sit for a couple days and it is almost a perfect now. For the cost I would of expected a little better attention to detail from benchmade. Perhaps some actual product testing and quality control is in order for a 700$ knife? Although the s30v blade is nice I don't think it warrants the price gouging either. In my opinion although the knife is really nice quality it is overpriced and should be marketed more in the 500-550 range like the 87. Overall I like it alot once I applied loctite. Solid knife just hurts the pocket to own and not be afraid to use. Good buy if you can afford it.
