Benchmade Triage knives combines their popular AXIS lock with a folding strap cutter safety hook and a glass breaker tip to create the ultimate triple utility tool.
The 916 Triage folder features a blunt-tip blade with a chisel ground opposing bevel. The 440C hook-shaped safety cutter conceals in the spine of the handle and features smooth operation via the low profile thumb stud. Includes textured G10 handles with stainless steel liners. Deep reversible tip-up carry pocket clip and carbide glass breaker complete the package.
This Benchmade Triage 916SBK-ORG model has a black finished blade with a partially serrated edge and an orange G-10 handle.
Yes, that's how it's supposed to look. The tip is blunted for cutting away bandages or clothing from a patient without risking injury. The glassbreaker is pointy and looks like it would make short work of a window. You really have to hold this knife to appreciate how securely it feels in your hand and how much control you feel, both in forward grip to use the main blade and the reverse grip to use the belt cutter. EMS/Rescue knives like this come in a lot of very unusual shapes and colors, and if nothing else it's something a little different to pick up for the collection than yet another black tactical folder.
